OverDeduct

Legal

Privacy Policy

The short version: the free analyzer runs in your browser and your remittance file never leaves your device. Here's the full detail.

Effective August 6, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how OverDeduct (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and Services. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be explicit about the one place your most sensitive data — your remittance files — is processed: your own browser.

The free analyzer processes files in your browser

When you use the free deduction analyzer, the remittance or CSV file you select is parsed and analyzed locally, in your browser. The file itself is not uploaded to or stored on our servers as part of that analysis. If a specific feature ever requires sending data to our servers (for example, an optional AI audit you explicitly opt into), we will say so clearly before you use it.

Information we collect

How we use information

Service providers

We use trusted third parties to run the business — for example, website hosting and email delivery. These providers process data only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site function and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect site functionality.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Account and service data is retained for the life of your relationship with us and a reasonable period afterward, then deleted or anonymized.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. To make a request, contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but designing the free analyzer to keep files in your browser is a deliberate part of how we limit exposure. See our security page for more.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
